Volunteer with Lewes Community Fridge
Lewes Community Fridge is looking for more volunteers to help collect and distribute surplus food from local supermarkets and high-street bakeries to help tackle food need – and food waste.
Lewes Community Fridge is open on Saturdays 10.30am-12pm at Lewes Town Hall kitchen, allowing anyone to come and make use of free surplus produce that would otherwise be thrown away.
As a volunteer, you’ll receive free online food safety training and work with an experienced member of the friendly Community Fridge team for one or two hours on a Friday evening or Saturday morning, depending on when you’re free.
Whether you can help out every week or once every couple of months, your help is warmly welcomed.
