Love Hope Unity

SAVE THE DATE: Together Alliance Demonstration – for Love, Hope and Unity!

Saturday 28 March, central London (times and locations tbc)

A coalition of local groups is joining forces for the ‘Together Alliance’ demonstration against the Far Right next month. The past 18 months have seen a frightening rise in racism and the Far Right in the UK, reports Lewes Stand Up to Racism. From the riots in summer 2024 to hotel protests and the huge demonstration led by Tommy Robinson last summer, along with Reform riding high in the polls. Racism has been normalised within sections of the media and politics.

Locally we have seen the arson attack on Peacehaven mosque, and Crowborough has become of the eye of the storm as people seeking asylum are demonised as they arrive in the army camp. The far right are not just encouraging the rise of racism, but are a threat to all sections of our community and future. As climate change deniers, there is no bigger threat to our climate security than the far right.

The Together Alliance is building towards a massive anti-racist demonstration on Saturday 28 March 2026 in Central London. We need to make this demonstration absolutely colossal! Visit the website here.

The Together Alliance nationally has the support of a wide range of organisations, trade unions, environmentalists and faith groups, along with musicians and celebrities such as Sir Lenny Henry, Charlotte Church and the band Kneecap.

In Lewes, a coalition of local groups has joined forces to mobilise for the demonstration. So far that coalition includes Lewes Climate Hub, Diversity Lewes, Lewes Stand Up To Racism, Lewes for Palestine, Lewes Refugee Support Group, Sussex Women Against the Far Right, Lewes Trade Union Council, Lewes Compass and Western Road School Parent and Carers EDI Group.

We firmly believe that the vast majority of people in this country are not racist, but we need to show that and make our voices heard. This demonstration is a great opportunity to come together and raise our confidence for a positive future. Please join us in this coalition and on the demonstration.
