The Future Travelling Roadshow on tour

The Future Travelling Roadshow has been out on the road again this summer, travelling to events across East Sussex, including Newick Food Fair and Green Chiddingly, to celebrate and exchange inspiring ideas to support our well-being and the planet.

The Roadshow was launched last year by Transition Town Lewes to reach out to communities and smaller parishes with entertaining ways for all ages to explore sustainable ways of living.

This year again featured Daphne Lambert from Greencuisine, talking about local seasonal foods and sharing tasters and shots that showcase the wealth of delicious, nutrient-rich ingredients on our Sussex doorstep.

Keith Ellis from Moving Sounds entertained  with songs around themes picked by audience members, ranging from climate change to soil to plastics!

The Roadshow also welcomed Tom Daniell from Old Tree Brewery as he joined Keith in entertaining the audience with stories of soil and composting, explaining the magical work of micro-organisms in supporting health via composting and food. One useful tip Tom shared was to put a drain pipe with holes into your compost heap to help beneficial fungi to develop. Tom shares more tips for smart composting on the Old Tree Mycelium Network here.
