Ringmer Apple Day

ringmer apple tastingSaturday 11 October, 11am-2.30pm, Ringmer Village Hall, Lewes Road, BN8 5QH, FREE
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ringmer Community Orchard, come along to Ringmer Village Hall for apple tasting, advice on pruning and caring for fruit trees, delicious apple-based delights – and lots more.

Come and taste heritage apples grown in Ringmer that you just can’t find in the shops like Saltcote Pippin, Tinsley Quince, and the original ‘tarte tatin apple’, Orleans Reinette, which is superb for baking.

Get ready for the winter pruning with advice on caring for your fruit trees. Between 1pm-2.30pm you can also learn how to sharpen your secateurs.

There will be refreshments, cakes and jams made with local fruit, and stalls with information about other local organisations supporting wildflowers and wildlife locally.
