NEW! Family Swap Shop with Meredith Brooklyn

Friday 24 October, 11am-2pm, Lewes Climate Hub, 32 High Street, Lewes, BN7 2LU, FREE – donate items on the day

We’re delighted to join forces with local designer and sewist Meredith Brooklyn to host a regular Family Swap Shop where you can bring and take away essential items for young families like children’s clothing, baby items, toys and books.

Take what you need and share what you don’t! It’s a great way to cut waste and cost.

Starting on Friday 24 October, Family Swap Shop will take place twice a month at Lewes Climate Hub. You can bring a bag or individual items and swap them for what you need. You can also donate financially for items if you wish too. However, Family Swap Shop aims to welcome everyone – so if you can’t donate anything, you’re still welcome to take away items you need.

Items that can be swapped are:

Baby and children’s clothing
Maternity wear
Toys
Children’s books
Small pieces of family equipment (e.g. feeding bottles, baby carriers)

Meredith Brooklyn is a designer and sewist based in Lewes. Passionate about sustainable fashion, she makes one-of-a-kind, zero-waste pieces from curated and vintage textiles.
