Lewes Stand Up to Racism fortnightly meeting

Tuesday 4 and 18 February, 5.30pm, Lewes Climate Hub, Lewes House, 32 High Street, Lewes BN7 2LU

Come and meet the Lewes Stand Up to Racism team and see how you can get involved in a range of activities locally and nationally to tackle the rising tide of right-wing ideology, as the SUTR team explains.

In the light of President Trump’s inauguration in the US and his assault on migrant rights and climate initiatives, there’s never been a better time to work together. Stand Up to Racism Lewes – now a Lewes Climate Hub partner group – highlights how you can get involved.

At Lewes Stand Up to Racism, we’re expanding our activities. We have fortnightly meetings at Lewes Climate Hub. Our next two meetings are on 4 and 18 February at 5.30pm – everyone warmly welcome.

We’re also holding fortnightly stalls on Cliffe Bridge. Our next two are on Saturday 15 February and Saturday 1 March. See the Lewes Stand Up to Racism page on Facebook for exact timings.

We have been encouraging people to join the February 1 demonstration in London to oppose supporters of the jailed Tommy Robinson – latest details here, including transport.

We delighted to say our recent pub quiz at The Black Horse was attended by more than 50 people and raised £200. We also really enjoyed taking part in a recent meeting with James MacCleary MP including people from other affiliate groups.
