Getting ready for installing a heat pump

The first meeting of Lewes Retrofit Forum, held on 30 January, was very well attended. It brought together householders at different stages of retrofitting their homes, professionals who give energy advice and people from organisations and businesses delivering retrofit projects.
At the meeting, it was agreed that the aims of the forum should be twofold:
- Promote home retrofit to the wider public and provide information and support on what householders can do to make their homes greener and more energy efficient
- Provide networking for people involved in retrofit with a view to sharing experience and building the local supply chain.
The forum’s first information event, ‘Getting ready for installing a heat pump’, will be held on Thursday, 13th March at 7.30 pm in the OVESCO Energy Room at Lewes Climate Hub.
A panel of experts will be available to answer questions about what you need to do to prepare to install a heat pump in your home – and address any other queries about getting the right heat pump system in place to meet your home’s heating needs. The event is free and no booking is required.
