Love Our Ouse has become internationally known for its pioneering work to make the River Ouse the first river in the UK to have its own legal charter of rights. Now it’s looking for some talented people to fill three essential positions to help support and further its work.

Treasurer
The Treasurer provides financial oversight and guidance to Love Our Ouse, helping ensure that the organisation is financially responsible, transparent and sustainable. You will work closely with the Directors to maintain accurate records, support budgeting and ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory requirements. Initially this will focus on day-to-day bookkeeping only. As the organisation grows there may be scope for you to be involved in financial governance and oversight.

Fundraiser/s
The Part-Time Fundraiser/s will work with the Board to develop and implement a practical, proportionate fundraising strategy to secure core and project funding for Love Our Ouse. The role focuses on grants, trusts and foundations, partnerships and individual giving, helping to build long-term financial sustainability while remaining aligned with the organisation’s community-centred values.

Communications Coordinator
To provide strategic and practical communications support that helps Love Our Ouse:
• Raise its profile locally and nationally
• Clearly communicate its mission and impact
• Engage communities, partners and supporters in celebrating, learning about and acting for the Ouse
• Support fundraising, partnerships and advocacy.
