Saturday 23 November: Christmas Toy Swap
12 midday to 2pm, free if you donate a toy (otherwise 50p)
Help your old toys find a new home this Christmas and take home toys that are new to you. Get a token for each toy you donate to swap for others. Pre-loved toys in good condition can be dropped off in advance at Lewes Climate Hub, Wed-Sat 11am-3pm.
Saturday 30 November: Advent Table Decoration Making
11am to 3pm, FREE (donations welcome)
Work with our resident artists to make beautiful festive table decorations from natural and recycled materials, and hanging paper snowflakes. Feel free to bring materials you’d like to make thread into your decorations.
Saturday 7 December: ‘Furoshiki’ gift-wrapping cloth workshop
11am to 3pm, FREE (donations welcome)
Furoshiki is the Japanese art of wrapping gifts in reusable cloth. Come and hand-print your own sustainable Furoshiki gift wrap that can be used time and time again.
Saturday 14 December: Stillness & celebration
Join us for two very different events to get you ready for the holidays.
11.30am-12.30pm – Stillness session £4
A perfect antidote to the festive rush. Treat yourself to an hour of stillness to calm and replenish your mind, facilitated by the Unity Centre’s Jane O’Donnell. Book here if you would like to attend.
1pm-3pm – Christmas choir & mince pies
Come and join in carols and festive favourites on the steps of Lewes House – and warm up with piping hot home-made mince pies.
