Furniture Now! are recruiting volunteers

Have you ever considered a role in charity retail? Do you have some free time, or looking to gain skills to build your CV? Would you like to meet new people? Then a volunteer role with homegrown furniture charity Furniture Now! could be perfect. Interim CEO Sarah Hinks explains how you can help.

This year, we’ve been celebrating 30 years of our awesome charity’s work to collect, refurbish and redistribute furniture, appliances and homewares to communities across Sussex. We’re hoping to continue for another 30 years – to do that we are actively seeking new volunteers to support our work.

There are many exciting roles available across Furniture Now!, ranging from van assistants to customer service, from social media to e-commerce. For example, do you have an eye for antiques and collectables? Or a knowledge of furniture values? If so, we need you to help increase our online sales!

Our Lewes store (next to Tesco) has a wonderful team where you will be welcomed, trained and supported. Our work makes a positive social, environmental, and economic impact by improving access to essential household items, promoting greener waste management and supporting local community projects. We’d love to have your skills and enthusiasm to help us do even more.
