Help build the world’s first hand-made beaver lodge!

Sunday 4 August, 10.30am-3pm, Railway Land Wildlife Trust, Railway Lane, Lewes, BN7 2FG, FREE

Join in what’s being billed as the most exciting family-friendly event of the year: building the world’s first hand-made beaver lodge!

During this event for all ages, guided by wildlife expert Dylan Walker, participants will gather natural materials and collaboratively weave together branches to create a natural, artful structure that mirrors beaver techniques!

By beavering together you’ll help to create a superb lodge that will provide a sanctuary for all sorts of wildlife. Although there are no beavers in the area at present, the lodge will also act as a work of art, encouraging visitors to consider a future in which we live in harmony with these spectacular mammals in the knowledge that their constructions can protect us from fire and flood.
