Lewes Allotment Wildlife Surveys

The Lewes Mosaic Project is a partnership between the Railway Land Wildlife Trust and Common Cause Cooperative which is working to connect wildlife to personal and community wellbeing. As well as supporting green wellbeing activities, the project is helping to grow a network of wildlife-rich habitats across the town.

As part of this, the project is carrying out wildlife surveys at allotment sites across Lewes to assess levels of biodiversity in these essential green spaces. Each hour-long survey will assess a specific area of wildlife such as amphibians & reptiles or wildflowers & trees – see a full list of surveys planned for the summer below.

Free and all welcome
Allotment-holders and anyone else interested are warmly invited to join in. All surveys will start at the allotment site entrance at the stated time. As numbers at some events are limited, please email Helen at if you are planning to attend, or for further information.
