Help unlock funding for citizen science on the River Ouse
Love Our Ouse, a partner group of Lewes Climate Hub, are excited to have been shortlisted for the Ouse Valley Climate Action Community Pitch, which invites local groups to pitch to receive funds for projects related to nature and climate action. But it now needs your help!
Love Our Ouse’s shortlisted project is looking to develop ‘citizen science’ opportunities along the River Ouse from Lewes to Newhaven in order to monitor and prioritise actions for the river’s health. In order to unlock £5,000 of funding from the Ouse Valley Climate Action Community Pitch (which is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund), the group now needs to crowdfund £500.
The deadline for raising £500 is Thursday 29 February. All donations big or small count. You can donate via Love Our Ouse’s crowdfund page: https://southdowns.enthuse.com/cf/love-our-ouse
You can see all the projects shortlisted for the Ouse Valley Climate Action Community Pitch, including Love Our Ouse’s project here. Love Our Ouse is also recruiting local people and groups to help take part in its project. So if you’d like to help monitor the health of your stretch of the river, email .
