SEA Eco Fair: 1 August 2021

In 2020, Seaford Town Council declared a climate emergency! Seaford Environmental Alliance is working together with Seaford Town Council and other local environmental groups on 1st August to hold an ‘eco fair’ to speak to the town about what this means.

We are inviting local schools, environmental groups and larger groups / organisations from a little further afield to get involved. We would love to offer a free stall at the event to promote local green initiatives and inspire others!

The ethos of the fair is to inspire new habits and help people to see what we need to do to help our planet.

We also want to focus on what we all can do with what we have, so this will be a ‘No selling’ event and we’re not charging for stalls. Stallholders are welcome to have a donations pot. We would like the event to be single use plastic and waste free.

Here are a few things you will see at the fair:
We are planning stalls, activities and games to make the day informative and inspiring!
We will not be selling anything but will have a ‘Bring and Don’t Buy Sale’ where we invite people to swap or take an item for free.
The Seaford Repair Cafe will be starting soon so we hope to have volunteers mending and chatting to people.
We will hold a ‘Waste Free Picnic Challenge’ where we hope people will bring along their own picnic and leave no waste.
We will be sharing surplus seeds, plants and unwanted tools to inspire people to grow food and cook.
“On the Verge” group, bringing nature back to our streets.
We’ll have music from a local band and talks from experts.
